How It Works
The most informed referral you'll ever get — for a financial advisor.
Your accountant refers advisors they know and trust, which may reflect a referral arrangement as much as it reflects your needs. Your attorney's network is built around their practice. A friend's recommendation is based on their experience, their goals, and their risk tolerance. None of them are assessing advisor capabilities against your specific income structure, tax exposure, equity compensation, or family priorities.
Financial Fit does.

The Process
Three steps. No forms. No pressure.
Here's what happens when you reach out to Financial Fit, from first contact to final introduction.
01
Tell us your situation
A free, no-obligation conversation by phone or video. We ask about your financial goals, income structure, tax situation, equity compensation, family priorities, and what you've experienced with advisors before. No forms. No pressure. Just a real conversation.
Takes 20–30 minutes. You can do it alongside any other advisor search you're already running.
02
We do the research
We assess advisors in our network against your profile — evaluating investment philosophy, tax planning approach, fee structure, and specialist capabilities. We only recommend advisors we believe are genuinely the right fit. You won't receive a long list to sort through.
This is where our framework does its work. You don't have to do anything.
03
We make the introduction
We connect you with one to three advisors whose expertise aligns with your situation. We give you context on each recommendation — why we chose them, how they work, and what to expect from the first meeting. We're available to support you through the final decision.
No obligation to proceed with any recommendation. You stay in control throughout.
Common Questions
Common questions.
Is this really free?
⌄
Yes. There is no cost to clients at any stage of the process. Financial Fit receives compensation from advisory partners once a match is made, but this does not influence our recommendations. Advisors do not pay to be listed or considered. Local consultants identify advisors through networking with local industry professionals and a thorough review of their firm, investment philosophy, and services provided.
What if I'm already talking to advisors?
⌄
That's absolutely fine. Many clients come to us after starting their own search. We can offer a second perspective, evaluate the advisors you're already considering, or introduce someone you may not have found on your own.
How long does the process take?
⌄
The initial consultation takes 20–30 minutes. We typically have recommendations ready within a few days. The timeline from first conversation to advisor introduction is usually one to two weeks.
What if I don't like the recommendation?
⌄
You're under no obligation to proceed with any advisor we introduce. If the first recommendation isn't the right fit, we'll talk through why and revisit our match. Our goal is to get this right for you.
How is this different from an online matching service?
⌄
Online services typically match based on a short questionnaire and surface advisors who pay to participate. Financial Fit uses a structured evaluation framework applied by a consultant who understands your specific situation and has deep knowledge of local advisors in your area.
Do I have to be in the Boston area?
⌄
Our network is currently strongest in the Greater Boston area, where we have deep knowledge of local firms and advisors. If you're outside this region, contact us — we may still be able to help depending on your situation.
